The SPE 60 is a Grundfos 6" submersible pump with an internal permanent-magnet (IPM) motor and variable speed. Pump efficiency 77% (MEI ≥ 0.40), full stainless-steel construction. Driven by a CUE frequency converter (mains) or a solar pump inverter (RSI). Discharge connection Rp 3 / Rp 4 (R 4).

Solar pumping systems for reliable Water Supply in Africa

The Grundfos SPE range gathers submersible pumps with an internal permanent-magnet (IPM) motor and variable speed. The SPE 60 covers a flow rate up to 80 m³/h and a head (TDH) up to 350 m, with a pump efficiency of 77%.

The MS6000P permanent-magnet motor delivers 8 to 10% higher efficiency than an equivalent asynchronous motor, for reduced energy consumption and a longer service life. The construction is entirely in stainless steel (EN 1.4301 standard, EN 1.4401 or EN 1.4539 optional for corrosive environments).

The IPM motor is synchronous: it requires a frequency converter. The SPE 60 operates with the Grundfos CUE frequency converter on a three-phase mains supply, or with a solar pump inverter for stand-alone photovoltaic pumping.

Applications: drinking-water supply, agricultural and horticultural irrigation, groundwater lowering, boosting and constant-pressure systems. Connection Rp 3 / Rp 4 (R 4), diameter 6".

Solar pumping SPE + RSI: paired with the Grundfos RSI solar pump inverter, the SPE 60 adapts its speed in real time to the available solar irradiance, with no battery and no grid. Ideal for solar / off-grid / rural electrification projects.

You can switch the solar inverter to mains power or generator if required, because our drives are compatible to both AC and DC power input without the need to change any parameter settings.
