Smart monitoring of your battery
The BMV-712 Smart is a high-precision battery monitor designed to deliver complete monitoring of your batteries' state of charge. Thanks to its 500 A / 50 mV shunt, it measures the incoming and outgoing current with a resolution of ±0.01 A and displays essential data such as voltage, power, consumed amp-hours, state of charge and remaining run time. Its supply-voltage range extends from 6.5 to 70 V, making it compatible with a wide range of systems.
Built-in Bluetooth connectivity
Fitted with integrated Bluetooth, the BMV-712 Smart connects easily to the VictronConnect app on your smartphone or tablet. This feature lets you customise the settings, monitor data in real time, review the performance history and update the firmware whenever new functions become available. This wireless connectivity simplifies the installation and management of your energy system.
Advanced features and versatility
The BMV-712 Smart has an additional input that can be used to measure the voltage of a second battery, the temperature, or the mid-point voltage of a battery bank. It also includes a programmable bistable relay (60 V / 1 A) to trigger alarms or automate actions such as shutting down non-essential loads or starting a generator. Its low standby consumption (<1 mA) preserves your battery's energy, even during extended use.
Simple installation and easy integration
Installation of the BMV-712 Smart is made easy by a quick-connect printed circuit board and the included 10-metre RJ12 cable. It is supplied with a shunt, a fused battery cable, a mounting frame and the necessary screws. Its VE.Direct communication port allows straightforward integration with Victron GX systems for remote supervision via the VRM portal. This monitor is ideal for marine applications, recreational vehicles, solar installations and off-grid systems.
