Measure, warn and stop before damage occurs
MP 204 continuously compares electrical and thermal values with warning and trip limits. A trip operates the relay controlling the motor contactor.

Overload and underload
True RMS current measurement protects the motor across changing operating conditions.
Phase supervision
Detects phase loss, wrong phase sequence and current imbalance on three-phase systems.
Voltage protection
Monitors overvoltage and undervoltage, including supply problems caused by long cables or transformers.
Motor temperature
Works with Tempcon, Pt100/Pt1000 and PTC or thermal-switch signals according to the motor.
Operating data
Power factor, energy, harmonics, operating hours, starts, warnings and trips support preventive maintenance.

Do not use MP 204 together with a frequency converter. For variable-speed systems using CUE, RSI or another VFD, use the protection architecture specified for that drive and motor.
