Lithium NG batteries: the new Victron benchmark
The Lithium NG battery range from Victron Energy represents the ultimate evolution in lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO₄) energy storage. Available in 12.8 V, 25.6 V and 51.2 V versions, it is aimed at demanding applications, whether marine, industrial, mobile or stand-alone residential. Each model is designed to deliver high energy density, maximum safety and a service life of more than 3,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge (DoD). Thanks to direct connectivity with VE.Can systems, these batteries integrate easily into any Victron environment, ensuring centralised supervision and simple configuration.
Performance, robustness and built-in safety
Lithium NG batteries are fitted with an internal management system that monitors the voltage and temperature of each cell. Their thermal operating range extends from -10 °C to +50 °C in discharge and from 5 °C to +45 °C in charge. Their IP22/IP65 design (depending on model) allows installation in protected or semi-outdoor environments. With a low cut-off voltage of 10.8 V (for the 12.8 V models) and an available capacity from 100 to 300 Ah, these batteries offer an excellent compromise between autonomy, footprint and reliability.
Communication and multi-battery scalability
Each Lithium NG module integrates VE.Can ports and a BMS CAN port for direct communication with the Lynx Smart BMS NG, or with GX devices such as the Cerbo GX. Up to 20 batteries can be connected in parallel, providing a total capacity of up to 256 kWh in 51.2 V. The system also includes the « Keep Alive » function to guarantee a permanent minimum supply to critical equipment, even when protection is active. This makes the NG batteries a first-class choice for high-end installations that demand performance, longevity and industrial-grade electrical safety.
Lynx Smart BMS NG: the brain of your lithium bank
Designed to manage and protect Lithium NG batteries, the Lynx Smart BMS NG acts as an intelligent manager between the batteries and the rest of your electrical installation. It handles cell balancing and protection against over-voltage, deep discharge, over-current and overheating. Fitted with an integrated screen, VE.Can and VE.Direct connectivity and a configurable relay, it allows local or remote control via a GX system. The Lynx Smart BMS can manage up to 20 batteries in parallel, while ensuring smooth communication with Victron chargers, inverters and solar controllers.
Integrated DC distribution and safe management
In addition to its BMS function, the Lynx Smart BMS NG includes DC distribution with high-current copper busbars, screwed terminals and protected connections. It can automatically switch critical loads or trigger a back-up generator according to battery voltage levels. Its modular design allows direct integration into a complete Lynx Distribution system (Power In, Power Out, Shunt, etc.). Thanks to its measurement accuracy and on-board safety functions, the Lynx Smart BMS NG is the ideal solution for any Victron system that includes Lithium NG batteries.
