Lithium battery, 48 V, modular by design, expandable in blocks of 2.4 kWh (US2000), 3.55 kWh (US3000C) or 4.8 kWh (US5000).

Pylontech US batteries are designed for electricity storage. They can be used to reliably supply energy for all types of equipment and systems. The US2000/US3000/US5000 range is particularly suited to high-power requirements, restricted spaces, limited loads and long duration (low self-discharge — up to 12 months of storage without the need for recharging).

SINES - Pylontech - specifications

The US2000/US3000/US5000 range features an integrated BMS (Battery Management System) which can manage and monitor the charging of the cells (voltage and temperature). In addition, the BMS balances the charge and discharge of the cells and thus extends their service life. The batteries can be connected together in order to increase storage and power capacity, and to ensure a greater and longer supply of power to electrical appliances.

US2000, US3000, US5000 range: compatibility with Victron Energy products

The combined use of Victron Energy products with Pylontech US lithium batteries has been approved by Victron and Pylontech. Pylontech batteries feature an integrated BMS (Battery Management System). This BMS provides an interface with the Victron GX communication devices and supports multiple batteries connected in parallel.

Victron products and Pylontech batteries can be used in off-grid (DVCC), back-up (DVCC or ESS) and self-consumption (ESS) systems alike.

It is essential to use a CAN-bus interface between the batteries and the Victron GX device (Cerbo GX or Color Control GX). It is strongly recommended to use the latest available firmware on all devices, whether the GX device, the inverter/charger or the MPPTs. As long as the system voltage is respected, all Victron VE.Bus inverter/chargers are compatible. The minimum firmware version must be 469. The inverter/charger must be connected to the GX device through the VE.Bus port.

With Pylontech batteries, Victron recommends using 48 V MPPT models with a VE.Direct port. Communication with the BMS and charge regulation will then take place through the GX device. The new Victron MPPT VE.Can models (2019 and later) are also supported by Pylontech batteries. However, some GX devices (such as the Color Control GX) have only a single CAN-bus interface, and that one is used for the Pylontech battery. For use with VE.Can MPPTs, it is therefore essential to use a device with several VE.Can interfaces, such as the Cerbo GX.

Self-sufficient home using Victron Energy products and Pylontech lithium batteries

Sue and her partner Mark are building a new home on a plot near the Dorset village of Beaminster in the United Kingdom. They want to be as environmentally friendly and off-grid as possible and to have a new Victron Energy Storage System (ESS) installed. With rooftop solar power and Pylontech lithium batteries, they want the home's circuits to stay on even when the electricity grid goes down. Source: YouTube channel — Victron Energy
