INTEGRATED BACKUP POWER
The Fronius GEN24 Plus comes with integrated backup power. The PV Point provides an integrated basic backup power supply that feeds single-phase loads via a fused socket or fused circuit and delivers up to 3 kW when the sun is shining, no battery required. With the Full Backup option, combined with a battery storage system, the entire household can be powered with self-generated electricity during a grid failure, as long as sufficient energy is available from the PV system or the battery. The three-phase Symo GEN24 Plus also backs up larger three-phase loads such as heat pumps.
INTELLIGENT ENERGY FLOW MANAGEMENT — MULTI FLOW TECHNOLOGY
Storing solar energy so it can be used around the clock is one thing; efficiently combining the yield of a PV system, an energy storage system and additional energy sources is another. This is where Fronius Multi Flow Technology comes in, enabling intelligent energy control for a maximum self-consumption rate and optimal use of the storage system.
Multi Flow Technology enables simultaneous energy flows in all directions, which means less grid usage and less feed-in — and therefore lower costs and a higher yield. If there is surplus PV energy, it is used to supply the loads and charge the battery at the same time. When energy consumption is higher than the yield, the solar modules and the battery storage system cover the energy needs. For example, a Fronius Symo GEN24 6.0 Plus with a PV production of 6 kW can supply a household with 3 kW and at the same time use the other 3 kW to charge a Fronius Reserva Pro or BYD Battery-Box Premium HVS/HVM battery.
A RELIABLE POWER SUPPLY, EVEN DURING A BLACKOUT
If the public power grid fails, Multi Flow Technology ensures a parallel energy supply from the PV modules and the battery. When the sun is shining, the photovoltaic system continues to supply the household with solar energy even when the battery storage system is already discharged.
Owners of a PV system without a storage unit can retrofit their system and use the advantages of Multi Flow Technology to their benefit. Battery storage systems and hybrid inverters can be easily retrofitted at any time, even to complement an existing inverter. Multi Flow Technology allows both DC and AC coupling, so it is possible not only to integrate the storage solution into existing PV systems, but also to incorporate small wind generators or micro-CHP units into the storage system.
